FH Edinburgh

Fleishman-Hillard in Scotland has political insight second to none and creative communications solutions that deliver results for our clients.

While we have intimate knowledge of Scottish issues – the detail of devolution, how the Scottish Government operates and how organisations can engage and communicate in a devolved Scotland – we have the resources to operate anywhere in the world. We are genuinely Scottish, genuinely global.

We are integrated
Great teams integrate, and we know we’re a great team because we draw from talent across all of communications. We integrate the full range of Public Affairs and Public Relations services bringing together political experience, corporate communications, policy development insight, event management and research skills. From developing your media strategy to getting your political messages right, we make sure it all works together.

We are global
While we have extensive knowledge of Scottish local issues, we offer international reach which helps global businesses operate out of Scotland as well as doing business in Scotland. We work with our colleagues in London, Europe and internationally so by managing client accounts in Scotland, clients retain local access to advice, support and assistance, with all the benefits of working across the Fleishman-Hillard global network. The combination of our Scottish insight and global experience and reach differentiates us from many of our competitors and delivers significant benefits to our clients.

We are creative
We don’t believe in ‘cookie cutter’ communications. Our programmes are tailored to each client’s needs and their brief. With strong media and political backgrounds across public, private, voluntary and healthcare sectors, we know what works and we draw from our wide range of experience and skills to support clients.

We are direct
Our clients value our straight talking, our insight and our commitment to get the right resources, people and skills together. We know this because we ask them what they think each year to ensure we continue to improve on the high quality of service we offer. We’re not hired to tell clients just what they want to hear, it’s about having a two way conversation about what works. We believe in results and we work closely with our clients to find the right solutions.

Our services
We operate across a number of disciplines and our team works as a cohesive unit across all client activity to achieve results in:

  • Public Affairs – we help clients build political and stakeholder networks, talk to Scottish Government, MSPs and local authorities. We do this in many ways, from identifying key stakeholders, developing compelling messages and materials, creating briefings, through to targeted outreach and measurement. We can provide legislative and regulatory support as well as train client teams to give effective expert evidence to Parliamentary Committees.
  • Perceptions audits – the Scottish political and media scene is dynamic and as such, it can be confusing, so we simplify it by showing organisations where they fit and what people think of them.
  • Public Relations – through a range of reputation and issue management services we can connect organisations to influencers through outreach to the media – national, local, online and trade/specialist. While we’re genuinely Scottish we’re also genuinely global, working as a hub for EMEA wide accounts that span markets. We also offer comprehensive media training to ensure that our clients are prepared and rehearsed in getting the right messages across in the right way.
  • Event Management – we organise bespoke media and public affairs events from roundtables to Parliamentary receptions. At all times we make sure these are exciting events that people genuinely enjoy, to put our clients on the map.
